Budget Vacations in Cancun

When thinking about vacations in Cancun, many people believe it is an expensive destination. However, there are many options if you're looking for some budget vacations. 1. Visit the archeological site of Tulum

TulumTake a bus from the ADO that will take you to the archeological site of Tulum. Bus cost: $104 Mexican pesos (8usd approx.) one way at 8:15, 9:15 and 10:15am (roundtrip $208 pesos, 18usd approx). Tulum entrance fee is $57 Mexican pesos (4usd approx). Schedule – Monday to Sunday 8am – 5pm.

2. Visit Playa del Carmen

4. Visit Playa Norte in Isla Mujeres

5. Swim with turtles in Akumal

Akumal TurtlesAkumal is home to many types of turtles. Enjoy a day in a different bay from those found in Cancun and Riviera Maya, perfect for snorkeling. Take a bus to Playa del Carmen ($48 Mexican pesos one way- 4usd approx.), then take a “colectivo” to Akumal, located on Calle 2 norte between Av. 15 and 20 ($30 Mexican pesos one way- 2usd approx).
