Vacation Activities - Explore public beaches
Mayan Explore Vacation Experts know what travelers are looking for during their vacactions in Cancun. There are a few public beaches here that are less quiet but just as nice. These include: Playa Linda, Playa Langosta, Playa Tortugas which can be found between the hotel area and Isla Mujeres and is probably the best area for snorkeling.
Opposite Sr. Frogs, you will find another public beach in Cancun called Playa Chac-Mool. And for an amazing view of the Caribbean Sea head to Playa Delfines, which is located by Iberostar. Just across the road from Playa Delfines lies a small Mayan Ruin called “El Rey” well worth a quick visit.
Note: Make sure to pick up maps at the airport, which also feature lots of discounts for many restaurants and nightclubs.
Mayan Explore recommends you enjoy the great party scene in the Mexican Carribbean.
For example, Coco Bongo Club in Cancun is a huge party venue located in the bustling hotel area. Multi-level seating, Rock & Roll and Salsa Bands comprise Coco Bongo club. Also on offer is a musical mix journeying through 70s, 80s, 90s, Dance, Trace and Hip Hop. But there are also entertaining shows: Flying acrobats, bar top conga lines, movie clips project onto high tech video screen and live bands.
Shopping is very popular in Cancun, with large malls and duty free places! The biggest duty free shop is UltraFemme, which specializes in European jewelry, perfume and cosmetics. Don´t forget to pamper and treat yourself to a spa massage too.
But if you’re into malls, check out Plaza Flamingo (home to the Planet Hollywood), Plaza Caracol (home to Cartier, Guess and Señor Frog clothing), Maya Fair Plaza (with it’s open-air eateries), and Forum by the Sea (where you’ll find Levi’s, Tommy Hilfiger, and even Harley Davidson as well as the Hard Rock Cafe).
