Mexico is Cancun and something else: the beginning

Needless to say vacations in Cancun and Playa del Carmen are always fantastic, we just cannot have enough of these two incredible destinations: white sandy beaches, the unbelievable Caribbean Sea, great restaurants, first class services, amazing nightlife and all the rest. Of course we can also think of other spectacular places in Mexico, such as Puerto Vallarta, Los Cabos, Acapulco, Puerto Escondido, Huatulco, amongst others. While we cannot deny the beauty of these beach towns, there still exist unspoiled places on the Mexican Caribbean coast that are truly worth visiting.

Playa del Carmen, Mexico
You have probably never heard of Bacalar, Xcalak, Mahahual, Holbox, Isla de la Pasion, Isla Contoy, Isla Blanca, just to mention a few, but they are pieces of heaven that Mayan Explore would like to introduce you to. And they are all within reach while you are on holiday in Cancun and/or Playa del Carmen. Imagine yourself walking on a virgin beach with your significant other, family or friends. Picture the moment where you are entering turquoise water to take a swim surrounded by colorful fish. On the horizon, just the infinite blue of the Caribbean Sea topped by the sky and sun. This is what we are talking about: pure and untouched nature, where you will get to meet the welcoming local Mexican communities. All around you can experience small Mexican restaurants, where you will be able to enjoy fresh ceviche, fish tacos, ice cold beer or michelada, and the true kindness of these safe and isolated villages.

MayanExplore’s has embraced the concept of offering different holidays to our friends and customers. We believe there is enough life to see all of these amazing places. Therefore, will release a series of posts on each one of theme, where you will find useful and inspiring information to organize your vacations, being a vacation day trip from Cancun or Playa del Carmen or an entire holiday touching one or a few of these pieces of paradise. Stay tuned for the next post: the diving destination of Xcalak!
